Our Doctors

Dr. Amanda Phomsavanh
I am an Arizona native and graduated from Midwestern University in 2022. I spent several years working as a veterinary assistant prior to receiving my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. What I enjoy most about veterinary medicine is being able to witness the bond between families and their pets, and it is my goal to strengthen and preserve that bond.
My husband and I have our own mini zoo of pets! We have 4 dogs, a leopard gecko, and a blue tongue skink. In my free time I enjoy drawing, being outdoors, and playing video games with friends! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!

Dr. Jose Evans
I am originally from Puerto Rico; I have been in Arizona since 2009. I graduated from St. George's University in June 2009 and have a bachelor's degree from Universidad Metropolitana in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have two amazing kids and a tortoise. I enjoy spending time with my family, diving, Pokemon, Nintendo games, WWE wrestling and traveling.

Dr. Elizabeth Glicksman
I was born and raised in New York City. I received my Bachelor's degree from NYU, and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2015. I then moved west with my husband, Andrew, a native Phoenician.
Since then, our family has grown to include a dog, cats, tortoises, guinea pigs, and fish. My personal interests include internal medicine, teaching, and client education. In addition to caring for our pets, I enjoy photography, the outdoors, sports, and traveling.

Dr. Stephanie Strautman
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, and my post graduate studies at Colorado State University, graduating in 2017. Over the years, I’ve volunteered in animal clinics, shelters and wildlife rehabilitation programs. As a part of the AZPetVet family, my special interests include Internal Medicine, surgery and client education.
I live with my boyfriend, Tarik, our dog Mike, and a Ball python named Delilah. My hobbies include spending time with friends and family, hiking and traveling. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets!

Dr. Adam Riley
Native Hoosier here, born in Munster, Indiana. I did my Bachelor of Science at Purdue University, and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University Glendale, AZ in 2018. While I’m a new veterinarian, I’m not new to the field. In fact, I’ve worked for more than a decade in animal hospitals. That’s how I developed strong interests in preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
My wife is also a veterinarian, which explains how we’ve ended up with two dogs - Elli the German Shepherd Dog, Freya the shepherd mix, Odin the one-eyed cat and Tyre the Sulcata tortoise. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, birdwatching - basically, anything outdoors. Be sure to say hello next time you’re here - I’d love to meet you and your pets!

Dr. Isabel Baez
I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and attended at the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. I moved from the island to attend veterinary school at Midwestern University where I earned my DVM. During my undergraduate studies, I enjoyed volunteering at shelters, and had the opportunity to volunteer for spay and neuter events here in Phoenix during veterinary school. My professional interests include surgery, dentistry, behavior, and client education. For me, the most rewarding part of being a veterinarian is building relationships with clients and their pets.
At home, I don’t currently have any pets yet, but I plan on adopting one in the near future! Back in Puerto Rico my family has 3 dogs which I miss very much! In my free time, I can usually be found hiking, exploring new coffee shops, playing video games, or reading.
